FAQ

AUGUST 2012: It’s with great regret and sadness that we must announce that we will be closed for the 2012 season.

We thank you for all of your support and patronage throughout the years.

Are you open if it rains?
Haunted Acres Hayride is open in a very light rain, but will close if it rains heavily or if there is lightning. This is a case by case basis. Real time notices will be posted on our website and other social media sites in the event of closure that evening.

How long will I be on the Haunted Acres Hayride?
The hayride lasts for approximately 35-40 minutes and is well worth any possible wait in line.

What should I wear?
This is an open-air tractor pulled wagon along wooded trails on a farm in the cool country air. Dressing in layers with closed shoes is recommended. We suggest that you do not wear your best clothes and shoes.

Can I bring my kids?
Our policy is that we don’t recommend the haunted hayride for children under the age of 7. You know your child best. Some children can handle things that go bump in the night while some adults are still afraid of the dark. As long as they are 7 or older, this one is your call. ABSOLUTELY NO CHILD AGE 5 AND UNDER IS ALLOWED ON THE HAUNTED HAYRIDE.

Can I ride the Haunted Acres Hayride if I’m pregnant or have a medical condition?
Haunted Acres Hayride is not suitable for those with heart conditions or back problems, those prone to seizures or women in the 3rd trimester of pregnancy. Strobe lights and fog machines are in use.

Are you open on Halloween night?
No, the haunted hayride is not open on Halloween night but it is open the night before in 2010.

Is there food at the Haunted Acres Hayride?
Yes, in addition to our famous apple cider donuts & hot cider, we offer a variety of baked goods, ice cream and coffee & hot chocolate inside the Heaven Hill Farm Market. While waiting in the haunted hayride line, you can snack on one of the many treats and refreshments from our concession trailer including burgers, hotdogs, fries, kettle corn, sodas, water & more.

Are there restrooms available?
Yes, there are portable restrooms available on site.

How can I become an actor or actress on the Haunted Acres Hayride?
If you are 16 or older and want to be part of the haunt crew, you can visit the Join Our Cast & Crew page to obtain a downloadable application. Or, stop by Heaven Hill Farm to pick up and fill out an application.
